Goji berry has been riding a wave of popularity for a few years now. Apart from increasing life expectancy and lowering blood pressure, they’re also anti-oxidants for eyes and skin. They're a source of Iron and Vitamin A, B and C. Also known as wolfberry, these can easily be incorporated in your diet. Just add them into your breakfast cereal or yogurt or trail-mix and you can drink them as tea or juice as well. They taste great when cooked with meat also.

Chia and Pumpkin seeds are so 2016. Watermelon seeds are the ones which are trending like crazy in 2017. When you're in a snacky mood why stuff your face with oily and fatty foods, when you can munch on watermelon seeds which not only keep your skin moisturised, soft and well toned but also prevents acne. Remember how a few years back there was this craze for wholegrain pasta? Can’t deny that the rage was legit, I mean pasta that is healthy! What more can anyone ask for. They’re being used in desserts, to make healthy snacks such as beet chips and even athletes are drinking beetroot juice to uplift their performances. I can see why it’s so popular- they can help treat cancer, detoxifies blood, fights dandruff, reduces signs of ageing and acts as a natural hair dye.

We don't expect peas to be on the superfoods list, I guess its because we feel for a food item to make the cut as a superfood means that they've got to be expensive and not very easily available. But truth be told that is just a myth. Not only do peas help with weight loss but also prevents wrinkles. It’s 2017’s protein alternative.
